Promising Support, Encouraging Independence


The Jeppson Residential Care Center at LUTHERAN HEALTHCARE CENTER (formerly Lutheran Home of Worcester) provides comfortable, supportive living for older adults who want to maintain a measure of independence while receiving the medical and other services they need.

Medicaid often helps to cover the cost of residing in the Jeppson Center for those who are eligible for this benefit. 

Services and amenities

• 16 private and semi private carpeted rooms, fully furnished.  Residents are encouraged to bring in personal possessions and furnishings within space limitations.
• Private half-bath for each room
• Three meals daily in the main LHC dining room
• Laundry and housekeeping services
• Certified care professionals on the premises 24 hour a day
• Medication supervision
• 24-hour medical monitoring
• Emergency safety features, including call button
• Cable, phone access
• Walk-in tub with whirlpool feature

Services offered to Jeppson residents at LHC’s adjoining Skilled Nursing Facility

• Physical, occupational and speech therapies
• Unisex hair salon
• Worship services
• Guest entertainment
• Social service assistance

Jeppson residents spend their free time in their own pursuits or playing board games together, completing puzzles, creating arts and crafts, enjoying parties, reading, and watching television in their rooms or in the community living rooms. Some residents choose to take advantage of the many volunteer opportunities at the LHC, contributing their gifts and talents to residents.

We have had several married couples at LUTHERAN HEALTHCARE CENTER of Worcester, with one spouse in the Jeppson Center and the other in the Skilled Nursing Facility. This enables emotional support for the couple and peace of mind for their families.

Jeppson residents receive preference for admission into LHC’s Skilled Nursing Facility if such care should be required.
